All of our products are formulated with our family in mind.

While pregnant my wife was diagnosed with preeclampsia (the gradual shutdown of organs that filter bodily toxins). This condition caused significant swelling throughout her body in addition to the typical changes in pregnancy.

To help her adjust to the changes, we took a serious look at the skin care products we were using. What we found at major beauty shops disappointed and, in some cases, shocked us. We were equally dissatisfied with the greasiness of existing natural alternatives, mostly based on: shea, cocoa and coconut butters. These ingredients take more than 30 minutes to absorb. Rushing between work and the doctor's office, we struggled to find that kind of time for self-care; this time constraint continued postpartum.

We began to design our own lotions and butters with our preferred staple ingredient - Kokum Butter. Kokum Butter, is a highly prized and healing butter with a light non-greasy texture that can help revitalize skin cells while supporting elasticity and flexibility. It is rich in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E, and it won’t clog your pores. Kokum Butter while less available and more expensive than shea, cocoa and coconut butter, is the main staple of skin care formulations because it is:

  • fast absorbing
  • lightweight and non greasy
  • nourishes and locks in moisture
