Zinc Balm

Description

Our Zinc Balm is a preservative free natural sunscreen alternative.  Designed for safe, gentle, and effective sun protection.  Crafted with non-nano zinc oxide, known for broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection, and other natural skin nourishing ingredients. Perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skin: free from harmful chemicals, and added fragrances.

Notice:  We do not label our product with an SPF rating, as this requires rigorous FDA testing to make such claims.  Product contains ingredients with UVA and UVB blocking qualities, however it has not been laboratory tested to determine any SPF.  This product should accordingly be considered a ‘lotion,’ not a ‘sunscreen.’  Please use with caution. Not intended to prevent or treat any condition.

Ingredients

Shea Butter*, Macadamia Nut Oil**, Beeswax, Zinc Oxide***, Vitamin E Oil, Arrowroot Powder

*Rich in oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic acids; exceptionally hydrates damaged skin and boosts natural collagen production. Offers natural UV protection level of about 6.
** Rich in antioxidants which fight free radicals that cause skin damage and aging. Contains squalene, a natural moisturizer that improves skin elasticity. Offers natural UV protection level of about 6.
*** Non-nano (meaning,  not absorbed into the skin and safe for coral reefs). Non-nano 325 mesh at 0.03%. Usage rate is 12.5 % of formulation. Generally, every 1% Zinc Oxide of a formulation provides 1.6 SPF units

How to Use

Apply generous amount to all exposed skin at least 30 minutes before sun exposure. Gently massage it in until absorbed. Reapply every two hours, or after swimming or sweating.  Apply as needed.
